Mr. & Mrs. Thomas McRae // Winter Wedding

Rebecca and Thomas had such a beautiful winter wedding like no other. So many special details that went into her wedding day. It was an intimate winter wedding affire held at sunset on a chilly December day. When Becca contacted me, I knew this wedding was going to be unique and so special. I had the pleasure of shooting their Notebook inspired engagements in the rain! You can check them out here. It was sooo much fun capturing Rebecca and Thomas dancing around in the rain downtown Alexandria.  I rarely posed them at all, they were just so natural and it showed!

Their wedding day was filled with so much love, admiration, and respect for each other and their families. These two were focused on each other, family, and God. My favorite part of their entire wedding day came as a complete surprise!!! For the kiss, Thomas grabbed Rebecca and dipped her for the sweetest most romantic kiss I’ve ever witnessed, and then he tossed her over his shoulder and took off running down the aisle for their exit! I barely got a chance to photograph it because no one knew that it was coming! It reminded me of a romantic movie! Rebecca’s ring was stunning and so special to them both because it was specially made just for Becca. Thomas used his grandmother’s diamond for the center, the two diamonds directly above and below are from his mother’s ring, and the other 4 are the ones Thomas worked so hard for. Her dress was uniquely made also, from two dresses she fell in love with at Azarues and the emerald bracelet was her nana’s!

Rebecca and Thomas, thank you again for allowing me to be part of your special day! I won’t ever forget and cherish always. God bless you both! Xx
